Dragana Naceva is a master’s student at TU Wien with a background in informatics and a focus on data analytics, generative AI, and information retrieval. She works at the Research Unit Data Science, where she is involved in developing and evaluating conversational AI systems for finding and navigating information. At the center of her work is retrieval-augmented generation and the question of how large language models can be connected with relevant source information to build useful and reliable conversational systems.

In her master’s thesis, this idea is explored in the context of long-form educational videos, investigating how users can navigate hours of content through natural-language questions, receive answers grounded in the retrieved material, and be guided to the moments most relevant to their questions. At TU Wien, she applies this work in TUna, a fuTUre fit project developing a conversational AI assistant that helps students navigate university information and connect with the right resources, contacts, and responsible units.
