Anna Baghumyan

Anna Baghumyan is a master student in Data Science at TU Wien with a specialization in Machine Learning, Statistics, and Visual Analytics, and holds a BSc in Computer Science. Throughout her academic journey, she has been awarded several merit-based scholarships, including the Helmut Veith Stipend, Huawei, Akian, and AGBU Scholarships. Her current research focuses on the intersection of large language models and conversational recommender systems, investigating how LLM-generated clarifying questions can improve user experience and recommendation quality in e-commerce settings. More specifically, it explores different question generation strategies and prompting techniques to better understand their impact on preference elicitation and recommendation effectiveness. Her broader interests include data analysis and visualization, natural language processing, recommender systems, and human-centered AI. In addition to her academic work, she has gained experience in web and Android development.
