We are pleased to share our participation as speakers at the Autumn Conference of the Österreichischen Verwaltungswissenschaftlichen Gesellschaft (ÖVG) and the Wiener Juristischen Gesellschaft (WJG) on November 5, 2024 at the Rechnungshof (Court of Audit).
Our colleagues Ahmadou Wagne and Thomas Kolb delivered a presentation on “KI im Einsatz” (AI in Action), providing an overview of the current applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in digital administration. In line with the principles of Digital Humanism, they emphasized the central role of humans in the development of these technologies.
Using an example from a legislative process and the associated statements, they highlighted the potentials and limitations of AI, particularly focusing on large language models like OpenAI’s ChatGPT. The discussion revolved around how AI can become a valuable support tool for administration—embracing the motto “AI in the Loop” instead of “Human in the Loop”.
A heartfelt thank you to Director General Dr. Mathias Vogl, and Mag. Gregor Wenda, MBA for the invitation to this event!
